Center Stand & Splash Guard

Lambretta center standLambretta splash guard Lambretta center standLambretta splash guard
The center stand gets a LOT of weight put on it and gets used a LOT and as a result the bend and the bottoms wear off. The Splash Guard gets hit by almost every rock on the road and is almost always bent out of shape.

Notable Markings:
  • Neither part has any markings.
Problems:
My centerstand wasn't too bad off so I kept it but I ended up buying a new splash guard as they are fairly cheap and plentiful as they were the same on ALL Ser III bikes.
  • Splash guard was bent and torn.
Solutions:
  • Bought a new one.

Bridge Piece

Lambretta bridge pieceLambretta bridge piece This piece was fine on my bike so I just painted it. They are plentiful as they were the same on ALL Ser III bikes.

Notable Markings:
  • There are no markings on the bridge piece.
Problems:
  • None
Solutions:
  • Strip it, paint it, mount it, done.

Rear Fender

Lambretta rear fenderLambretta rear fender The rear fender is something you almost never see yet it gets a lot of wear from dirt and water being thrown at it from the rear wheel. Mine was missing a corner for some odd reason so I got a new one as they are fairly cheap and plentiful as they were the same on ALL Ser III bikes. Also, you might want to make sure you warn your painter that those weird bends in the metal are supposed to be there.

Notable Markings:
  • The rear fender has no factory markings.
Problems:
  • Rusty, and missing a corner. How'd that happen?
Solutions:
  • Bought a used one that was in great shape.

Brake Light Housing

Lambretta brake light housingLambretta brake light housing After all these years and sitting in an area of a scooter that almost always gets hit, my light housing was perfect. Nice casting too.

Notable Markings:
  • Along the lower inside edge, below the tail light area you should see the part number (19983019) on the left, in the center a small Innocenti "I" logo, and on the right a rectangular Falbo logo.
  • Just below the right side screw hole that is shaped like a box, just below a casting sprew is the number 0.
Problems:
  • No problems.
Solutions:
  • Stripped it, painted it, done.

Choke Guard

Lambretta choke guardLambretta choke guard Not sure why this part is on the bike but there were no problems with it so I was happy.

Notable Markings:
  • No markings on a boring part.
Problems:
  • None
Solutions:
  • Stripped it, painted it, done.

Seat Frame & Cover & Seat Post

Lambretta seat frameLambretta seat post When I bought my bike it had a hand-made black vinyl cover. I still have it. It was gross so I bought a reproduction with the proper "Innocenti" logo on the back. Yum.

Notable Markings:
  • The seat frame should say NOEMI ROSA in big letters on the rear cross member.
  • The seat post has no markings
Problems:
  • No problems with the seat frame, it just needed paint.
  • Seat cover was missing.

Solutions:

  • I had the seat frame and seat post powder coated so they would last forever.
  • Bought a new seat cover from Casa Lambretta. A fantastic reproduction.

Rear Hub

Lambretta rear wheel hubLambretta rear wheel hub
Original Innocenti rear hubs are the best and are very hard to find these days. There are lots of reproductions on the market today and you should review the chapter about rear hubs in the Sticky's book before having yours painted or buying a new one. The problem with reproductions is that they sometimes split under heavy load. While I have never seen this happen my friends have warned me about these cheap hubs and told me to keep my good ones.

Notable Markings:
  • There is a medium sized Innocenti "I" logo and in the next area on the right you should see the part number (19-54-5120) with FP oval logo directly below it and P 1223 below the FP logo. These markings are all raised, not stamped.
Problems:
  • No problems.
Solutions:
  • They just needed a little paint.

Wheel Rims

Lambretta wheel rimsLambretta wheel rims Wheel rims are pretty basic and are readily available. I did notice that my original ones has the Innocenti logo stamped on them. Awesome.

Notable Markings:
  • Medium Innocenti "I" logo on both halves.
Problems:
  • None.

Solutions:

  • Strip them, paint them, mount them, done.

Exhaust

My exhaust was beat up, someone had cut off part of the exhaust tip and had obvioulsy lead a tough lift. Casa Lambretta offers exact duplicates so I bought one. Note that the Casa Lambretta exhausts have the Casa logo after the IGM number.

Notable Markings:
  • The outer edge says INNOCENTI (dot) SC 21 (dot) IMG (dot) 2105 S.
Problems:
  • Too many.
Solutions:
  • Bought a new one, they even come painted so that should save you some time.
